With Railway Through the Mountain

The Rhodope narrow-gauge railway is a regular railway line, served by the Bulgarian Railways, and the standard conditions for travel by train apply to it. You can get on and travel from any station or stop along the route, the largest of which are Septemvri, Velingrad, Yakoruda, Razlog, Bansko and Dobrinishte. There are 4 trains one way every day. If you want to travel by narrow gauge and come by train to Septemwri, we recommend that you buy a ticket for the desired destination on the route of the narrow gauge directly at the starting station of your trip. For example, if you come from Sofia and want to travel to Dobrinishte, at the Sofia station ask for a ticket Sofia-Dobrinishte, and do not buy a ticket only until September.
